I had spent a good three hours just getting things set up for later. Sarge was fine, he was on a painkiller and stall rest so I would be able to ride him for awhile. After checking things again I got up on my borrowed horse and headed over to my friends farm where he was waiting. The two huge bay horses were crisp and clean. I turned the riding horse over to my buddy and got in the cart. It really didn't need both horses to pull, but they hated being just one and liked the other's company a lot more. After getting them over to Eagle Ranch I tied them to a post and quickly changed into my clean blue jeans and a semi clean shirt. I didn't have much in clean clothes so I had to put on what I had. After changing into my green plaid shirt and blue jeans, I went out and let the draft horses to the barn and tied them up before walking into the barn. I was just a few minutes late, I had tired to get here at six, but it had taken a little longer than I had thought to get back. "Hey Belle. Ready?" I had a grin on my face as I waited at the front of the barn for Belle.

I nodded to Belle when she spotted me and waited until she had spoken before I spoke again. "Well, follow me and I will bring you to the place where supper is waiting for us." It was in the woods, a bit of a clearing. I just kind of hoped that it was in fact not over the top. I went back out into the dimming light and untied the two draft horses. I didn't get in the cart just yet, it would be rude to get in before Belle.

I waited while Belle got settled and then I got in and sent the horses off. They arched their necks and enjoyed the cool night also. I kept them moving at a nice trot and soon I pulled them to a stop and got out. The reins were wrapped around the cart in the front while I went to offer my hand to Belle. In the clearing there was a small dinner set up and a low fire lighting up the area.
